Socioeconomic snapshot

Lebanese citizens have been dealing with a state-sponsored Ponzi scheme that raveled in 2019 and robbed thousands out of their life savings, followed in 2020 by a complete economic collapse that brought the country into hyperinflation mode;  70% unemployment rate, 90% currency devaluation rate, major erosion of the middle-class, 60% of the population at or below the poverty level (1.5 USD per day), the COVID -19 pandemic and a major blast in Beirut that destroyed 1/3 of the city and left a whole population traumatized.

Empowerment Programs Previews

LEAP empowerment programs focus on processes that enable participation; enhance control through shared decision making; and create opportunities to learn, practice, and increase skills. Our sponsored programs encourage women & youth to engage in pro-social, meaningful, and community-enhancing activities that the participants themselves define and control, help gain vital skills, responsibilities, and confidence necessary to become productive self-reliant citizens.

Social Impact Change

Our programs support local vetted NGOs and social entrepreneurs around Lebanon, creating lasting change from the ground up. Our community development model focuses on building social capital by increasing income and assets within society’s most vulnerable, improving their skills and job opportunities – with women and youth’s empowerment and connected communities at the very center.
It has been proven that, although it may not be as loud as the technology revolution, social impact change is as transformative.

Its reverberations are being felt across executive boardrooms, foundation offices, NGOs, and startups worldwide. This way of engagement is fundamentally shifting the way investments are made, policies are penned, funds are endowed, and careers are chosen. This impact change advances the vision of doing well while doing measurable good.
